My wife and I moved to Arborfield in 2020 from the Cheshire/Staffordshire border, to be nearer our family. We have two grown up children both married. A son who lives with his wife and two children a girl aged 13 and a boy aged 10, also a daughter who lives with her husband and daughter aged 12 who goes to Bohunt, and a son aged 9 who attends the Coombes. But we are not strangers to the area as we have been visiting the area for many years, prior to moving here, to visit the family and later, to fulfil Grandparenting duties.
I am now retired after a early career with the Forestry Commission in Scotland working on high and dangerous timber. I then spent 30yrs with ICI/Astra Zeneca Pharmaceuticals in Senior Management. I was also an Officer in The Royal Observer Corps and a Scout Leader.
My wife and I enjoy world travel, and quality time with the family both at home and in New Zealand.
I look forward to becoming involved in local issues and supporting the local community.
